POS TECHNICAL ANALYST
Job Description:
We are looking for a retail industry point-of-sale analyst with both an operational understanding of the in store retail processing environment combined with a high degree of technical aptitude to join our store systems development team (SSD). The candidates role is in a high-visibility front line team with extensive internal exposure and interaction working alongside both our client services and programming teams to provide an exceptional successful client experience while partnering and collaborating with our clients on the external client side of the POS retail business.
Education and Required Skills:
- College Degree/MCSA/MCSE or Industry recognized certification.
- 2+ years experience integrating / implementing new retail processes into POS systems and upgrades to existing software/hardware platforms while communicating business process objectives.
- Proven track record of operational success implementing and deploying POS register configuration changes with hands on experience using in-store applications combined with a thorough understanding of retail point-of-sale concepts: credit/debit authorization, polling, in-store CRM
- Support escalation and provide documentation for on going support and issue resolution
- Able to initiate customer recommendations based on best practice or “best of breed” approach and execute projects efficiently and within defined timelines set.
- Ability to communicate effectively to both internal & external clients for ongoing support.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team and work projects to resolution and spec.
- Strong written & communication skills a must. Must be detailed oriented.
- Some evenings and weekends required based on client needs.
- Minimal Travel (less than 10%)
